Turn Defeat into Victory (Daniel 2)

Today, my message is entitled “From Defeat to Victory.” We’re going to be talking about dealing with what many would consider impossible situations, situations from which there may seem no escape. From time to time, each of us will face these kinds of impossible situations.

In May 1940, the allied forces were being badly defeated by the Germans in France. 350,000 soldiers had been driven back to the sea at the port of Dunkirk in France. They had nowhere to hide and there were too many to evacuate by sea. They were just waiting for the German airforce to obliterate them. It was an impossible situation. The British commander sent a short three-word message to England “But if not.” It was a reference to what Daniel’s 3 friends said as they were about to be cast into a blazing furnace.

Daniel 3:17-18 (NKJV) our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, … But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” …

Jesus Our Healer (Luke 18:35-43)

Today we begin our Christmas message series Who Is Jesus? The title of this message series is an incredibly important question. In fact, if you really want to find out what another person believes, just ask them that very question “Who Is Jesus?” Apologetics teaches us that there are only three logical answers to that question. Jesus is either Lord of all, a Liar or a Lunatic. …

Share Your Faith with Words (Acts 8:26-39)

Today, my message is entitled “Share Your Faith with Words.” Last Sunday, I spoke on Sharing Your Faith with Prayer, which is one of the easiest and most powerful ways to share your faith. To share your faith with prayer, you simply need to discern a need another person has and then ask them if you can pray for them concerning that need. You either pray for them on the spot or on your own and then later you check back with them to see how they’re doing. …

Share Your Faith with Prayer (Acts 3:1-12)

Today, my message is entitled “Share Your Faith with Prayer.” We’re going to be talking about how prayer can be an incredibly powerful means to share your faith with others. Not only is prayer an effective tool to share your faith, it is something that every believer can use. I am very excited about the Word that God has given me to share with you this morning. I believe that if we can understand, commit to and put into action what God wants to teach us this morning, it will radically change each of our lives and our church as well. …

Share Your Faith with Thanksgiving (Acts 16:22-34)

Our message series in November is called “Share Your Faith.” Last week Pastor David spoke on the supreme task of the church. Regardless of how elections turn out, the task of the church remains the same, to make disciples of Jesus Christ. This week, we have Thanksgiving coming up this Thursday. God wants to teach us to use special holidays and events as opportunities to share our faith with those around us. So, today, my message is entitled “Share Your Faith with Thanksgiving.” …

Why Share Your Faith? (Matthew 28:18-20)

Today we begin a new message series called “Share Your Faith.” In a few weeks, we will be entering the holiday season with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up. Both of these seasons have to do with God, so there will be many opportunities for us to share our faith with others. So, I believe that God wants to prepare each one of us who is a believer, to take advantage of the season. …
