Share the Truth (John 4:4-42)

Today, our final message in our Goals 2013 series is called “Share the Truth.” God’s goal for every believer is to grow this New Year in sharing the truth that God has brought into your life. Why is that so important? Sharing the truth is important because, if you’re a believer here this morning, someone, somewhere shared God’s truth with you. And you believed it. God wants us to pass on that truth to others, it’s one of the most exciting parts of life with God. The truth of God changes lives for eternity, there’s nothing more significant than that. …

Serve One Another (Ephesians 4:1-16)

The human body that God created is absolutely incredible. The average human heart pumps over 1,000 gallons a day, over 55 million gallons in a lifetime. This is enough to fill 13 super tankers. It never sleeps, beating 2.5 billion times in a lifetime. The lungs contain 1,000 miles of capillaries which the body uses to exchange oxygen for carbon dioxide in a complicated process. The DNA in your body, which contains your genetic code, if stretched out would circle the sun 260 times. To write out the DNA information in one cell would take 300 volumes, each volume 500 pages thick. Your brain contains 100-500 trillion synapses and is far more powerful than the largest supercomputer. All of these different parts of the body have been created by God to work together in harmony and unity. The Bible teaches us that the human body is an illustration of the body of Christ, the church.

1 Corinthians 12:12 (NIV) The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. …

Practice God’s Word (James 1:19-25)

Currently we’re in a message series called “Goals 2013.” As we begin the New Year of 2013, God wants us to have goals in our lives, so that we can make progress this year in serving Him. For a believer, life is about doing God’s will. What does it mean to do God’s will?

Doing God’s will is simply discovering God’s goals for your life and then accomplishing those goals with His help. Accomplishing God’s goals for your life is the most important thing that a person can do. Accomplishing God’s goals for your life will enhance your life, the lives of people close to you and will impact eternity. …

Grow in Your Church (1 Corinthians 12:12-27)

Goals are an important part of life. Someone once said, if you aim at nothing, you are sure to hit it. God wants each one of us to aim at his goals for our lives and He wants to empower you to reach those goals. Reaching new goals for God is the only way that this year is going to be better for you than last year. So, that’s why we are in the message series, Goals 2013. We’re looking at some general goals that God wants each of us to grow in during the New Year.

Last Sunday, we looked at the goal of Seeking God’s Face, growing in our communication with God. Today, my message is entitled “Grow In Your Church.” We’re going to be looking at how God wants you to grow in your relationships with other believers in your church.

So, first of all today, we want to look at the question “What is a church?” Many see a church as simply a building or a set of programs existing for the benefit of their family. …

Seek God’s Face (2 Chronicles 7:11-15)

Today, the first Sunday of 2013, we begin a new message series called “Goals 2013.” What do you desire for your life, for your family and for your church in this New Year? What does God desire for your life, for your family and for your church in 2013? The answers to those two questions may not be the same. If you and God are on a different page concerning 2013, then this won’t be a good year for you. However, God wants you and Him to be on the same page, because He has good plans to bless you in the coming year. So, in this message series, we’re going to be looking at the goals that God has for each one of us, so that we can align our desires with His goals.

Matthew 6:33 (NIV) But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. …
